It is with great pride that Bill (the Founder of W.M. Flynn Pty Ltd) received the Ballarat Inaugural Business Achievement award at a Gala dinner held on the 25th of August, 2011.
In receiving the award, Bill was very humbled and noted in his speech "that to be successful in life you need to surround yourself with smart people with the same vision".
A great night was held at the Mercure Ballarat with around 600 people in attendance.
W.M. Flynn Pty Ltd would like to thank Commerce Ballarat for bestowing this award on Bill and also wish to congratulate all the other winners from the night, most especially Haymes Paint who took out the Business of the Year award and who are also a leading family business in the community.
On the 1st of April, 2010, WM Flynn Pty Ltd celebrated 60 years of trading in and around Ballarat and the Western District.
A group of colleagues, friends and family gathered to mark the occasion at the Mercure Lodge in Ballarat. Cr. Noel Perry spoke acknowledging what WM Flynn P/L and more directly Bill Flynn the founder has contributed to Ballarat and the wider community.
Brian Welch Executive Director of the Victorian Master Builders Association gave a fully detailed speech on the building history of WM Flynn P/L and Dennis Foley, Director of JN Cooke and Foley Accountants toasted the Company’s successes which lead into both Bill and Peter Flynn acknowledging that 60 years is a remarkable achievement.
